Booking Forms
Booking
Booking/enquiries can be made via Phone, Email, Facebook etc. Then you will need to fill out an online confirmation form which can be found at the bottom of the page and we ask for a small deposit of £50 to secure your booking. I ask respectfully that your form and deposit be sent within three days of making your booking. The information that is requested on the form is mandatory so that there can be no confusion regarding your booking. On receipt of the form, I will then send a confirmation back to you within 7 days. Provisional bookings can be made, for which I will hold two dates for one working day.
Venue
All encounters can be carried out indoors or outside (weather permitting), if you choose to host your party/event outside you will need to arrange for a marquee or gazebo with sides as the British weather can not be guaranteed to be good. I put a floor covering down which is around 2m x 2m, which the children sit around. Behind the floor covering I set up a small screen and keep the travelling cases behind. So any room should be large enough to cater for this. To comply with health and safety guidelines, there must be hand-washing facilities available. I do stress the importance of hand washing when handling animals and the audiences are always given clear instructions at the beginning and end of each show or presentation.
Parking
It is imperative that car parking is available for me either on site or in close proximity. If parking is not available, I may not be able to carry out your booking. If the area of the venue is regularly congested with parked cars or if parking is by meter, I kindly suggest a car be positioned to reserve a space. If there are parking restrictions at the venue, the client must provide a voucher. I will pay for meters. In some cases for Central London, meters may only allow parking for two hours. This negates that only a one hour show is possible unless alternative parking arrangements can be made. In all cases, I aim to arrive in the area of a venue around an hour beforehand to allow for any traffic problems and in case we have to wait for parking or a meter to become available. I regret that if parking is not secured for me, I cannot guarantee completion of a booking. If this situation arises and a show cannot go ahead, I shall not be held liable. The client would be liable for the full cost of the booking.
Payment
All private bookings (including fetes) must be paid for in cash on the day. I regret that I am unable to accept cheques from private individuals. For educational establishments, payment can be made by cheque or BACS. Official groups such as Scouts, Guides etc and corporate events may pay by cheque. An invoice will be presented on the day or sent in advance if requested (there is a check box on the booking form to request this) payment must be recived in advance or on the day otherwise your booking can not be guaranteed. For agencies booking one of my shows, I must receive a cheque in advance of the date of the event or from the client on the day. Under no circumstances will I provide credit to any individual, company or establishment.
£20 Off Leaflet
Valid against private parties only (birthdays, weddings, etc) Schools, Scouting, SEN groups, care homes etc get other discounts. Only 1 code can be used per booking and NOT in conjunction with any other offers or discounts. The leaflet must be kept and handed to the entertainer/animal handler with payment. Some discounts offered on our own social media sites have a time limit in which you can claim the discount and this will be stated on the post.
Cancellations
Cancellation by a client within two weeks of the booking may incur a charge up to 100% of the total price. Although I allow a very generous amount of travelling time for potential delays, in the unlikely event that I encounter a delay whilst travelling to a show, I will contact the client immediately to inform them of the situation. A client may not cancel a booking as a result of a delay where the engagement would still be possible. If a show is not possible due to extreme delays or traffic problems an alternative date will be arranged. If for any reason that I am unable to attend your event, I will offer a discount show to compensate for the inconvenience at a later date. Any substitute date must be booked within three months of the original date and may not be carried over past one year of the original date.
Snow and extreme cold weather policy
While every effort will be made to attend your party or event, the welfare and safety of the animals must come first. If we feel the conditions are unacceptable to transport the animals we will liaise with you, as soon as possible, to postpone or rearrange the event. Bad weather can be very localised. If you feel the weather in your area could affect the safety of the animals or your guests please contact us as soon as possible.
Information for agencies
For events booked via agencies, I will only give out literature given to me by the agency and not my own. For payment information, please see above.
